The 7+ exam is taken in the December or January of Year 2 and includes a maths and English assessment, along with a short interview and group work. It’s important to find the right school for your child and where they can thrive.
The assessments at 7+ aim to identify current academic ability as well as future potential. In maths, pupils must understand basic calculations, be able to answer shape problems and understand time. In English, there will be a short comprehension and writing assessment where your child will be expected to read and write confidently. Occasionally, verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests may be included.
